Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner
  • DSL line
  1. Step 1

Open the top of the scanner on the All-in-One printer. Place the document to be faxed face down on the glass of the scanner. Line the top of the document up to the left edge of the glass.

  2. Step 2

Remove the DSL phone line from the back of the modem that is connected to the PC. Place the DSL phone line into the jack that is located in the back of the Printer/Fax/Scanner and is labeled "line" or "line 1." Do not plug the DSL phone line into the jack that is labeled "EXT."

  3. Step 3

On the front of the All-in-One printer click on the button labeled "Fax." On the dial pad, enter the fax number that the document is going to be sent to. If the fax is going to be sent to a long distance number, be sure to include the area code.

  4. Step 4

Check the number on the screen of the All-in-One printer to make sure that the number is correct. If it is correct, click the "Start" button which is also located on the front of the All-in-One printer. If it is not correct, click on the "Clear" button and enter the correct number on the dial pad.

  5. Step 5

Once the document is scanned and the window on the front of the All-in-One printer is clear, lift the cover of the scanner and remove the document. Unplug the DSL phone line from the back of the scanner and place it back into the DSL jack on the back of the modem that is connected to the PC.
