How to Find Music That I Can Listen To Without Downloading thumbnail
You can listen to a world of streaming music genres on the Web.

You can listen to free streaming music online without needing to download MP3 files. The trick is to only go to reputable sites so you don't risk downloading spyware or viruses. In most cases, you can select a genre to begin listening or search out specific artists or song titles. You may have to register or subscribe to use specific sites.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Napster.com using your Internet browser. While the website sells legitimate music downloads, it also provides some music streaming free. Sometimes, however, the site will only have a 30-second "sample clip" of a song. You can also become a site member to listen to an unlimited amount of music.

Try Pandora Internet Radio. Instead of trying to have every single ready to play at a user's request, Pandora simply taps into a huge database of streaming music at any one time. The website finds songs in line with your tastes based on your selections.

Don't look for individual songs when searching Pandora. Instead, search for the group you want to hear. For instance, trying to search for "Minority" (Green Day) is difficult, but you could instead search for "Green Day," and Pandora will play various pieces of music from the group 24/7.

Create an account at Live 365 and explore different genres. The website features more than 260 music genres that are arranged by more than 5,000 member broadcasters.

Perform an artist search at Jango.com. Through your choices, you'll be able to customize stations to get music geared to your tastes.
