Things You'll Need:
- white vinegar
- water
- dish liquid
- tea tree oil
- plastic pump spray bottle
-
Step 1
In a plastic pump spray bottle, add 1/4 cup white vinegar. Vinegar is a disinfectant and it shines up surfaces really well without leaving behind any buildup.
-
Step 2
Squirt one teaspoon plain dish washing liquid into the spray bottle. The dish washing liquid should be just a plain old soapy liquid, not one with added bleach or bleach alternative. The cheapest, scent free variety is best. Dish washing liquid is a good cleaning agent, and the soapy film will be kept to a minimum with the vinegar addition.
-
Step 3
Add about 20 drops tea tree oil to the mixture. This oil will have quite a strong smell, but tea tree oil is a very effective disinfectant. Shake to mix well. Finally fill the bottle with water. That's it!
-
Step 4
You can use this all natural disinfectant cleaner on your counter tops, microwave, floors, in your bathroom or wherever you would use a disinfectant cleaner.

on 10/29/2009 Regular tap water will work, and as far as water goes, after you add the ingredients, finish filling up your bottle with water.
Yes, pcalpo, you can use this on most kids' toys.

on 9/27/2009 Sounds wonderful. My only questions are...how much water? Do you need to use distilled water? Thanks!
