Look around you every minute or two to make sure that no one is following you. If you hear a car even if it's behind or ahead,keep your eyes on it. There are some crazy people out there, you never know when one of these drivers may decide to run you over. -

If you are a beginner and/or overweight, please refrain from wearing spandex shorts (especially men). Women, men don't want to see your private areas defined, as we are trying to get in a good run. Also, never spray someone with your water bottle!
