Instructions

    • 1

Draw a large oval for the skull in the center of the page. Add a small rectangle underneath for the jaw.

    • 2

Add a cross or "t" shape to the skull. Add a horizontal line that goes all the way across the skull half way down the oval. This will serve to mark out where the eyes will go later. Add a guideline for the nose underneath the horizontal line with a small horizontal dash.

    • 3

Draw the details on top of the skull frame. Add the eyes with rectangular oval shapes. Tilt the the top line of the eye shapes up. Draw a small triangle centered on the nose guideline dash. Add the guidelines for the teeth with a small thin rectangle at the base of the skull and another one at the top of the jaw. Add detail lines around the eyes and at the base of the cheek bones.

    • 4

Separate the teeth with small vertical dashes. Ink the entire drawing. Let the ink dry and erase all of the pencil lines. Darken in the eyes sockets, nose and between the teeth. Add in shading around the outside edge of the eyes and on the upper jaw on the side of the skull. Now you have a drawing of a spooky Halloween skull. You can use this as a template to create more skulls for decorations.

Tips & Warnings

  • Allow all of the ink to dry before erasing the pencil or the ink will smudge.
