How to do Dips Using Iron Gym

Muscled upper arms require a certain amount of work. How you choose to develop your arm muscles is the question. You can spend time and money at the gym or purchase a simple piece of equipment called the Iron Gym that you can use in the privacy of your home. Using the Iron Gym on a regular basis to perform dips will work your triceps, deltoids and pectorals.

  • Place the Iron Gym on the floor. The arched grips should be facing upward. Sit on the floor facing away from the equipment. Put your arms on the arched bar grips. Make sure your legs are fully extended in front of you.

  • Lower your body in a straight motion. Make sure to stop your movement when your butt is an inch or so off the ground. Pause for half a second before coming back up. Using your arms, bring your body back to the beginning position. That's one repetition. Remember to inhale as you come down and exhale as you're coming back up.

  • Continue doing dips until you have reached your goal or until you feel you can't keep proper form for additional repetitions.

  • Put an object under your feet, such as a stool or huge textbook to get an even better workout. This changes the angle of your downward motion as well as increasing the energy you'll have to put into your muscles. Try this technique after you can do at least 15 reps of regular dips.
