Perform The Proper Foot and knee Action in The Golf Swing

The proper foot and knee action in the golf swing is a much overlooked necessity if one is to perform anything close to a low handicap golf swing.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

With the correct balance (weight under the shoe laces)at set-up. As the golfer performs the back swing movement the weight moves from the inside and towards the toes of the left foot over the inside of the right foot. As the pressure is released from the left foot, the left heel may come up. As the down swing begins the weight moves from the inside of the right foot to the toes of the right foot back over to the inside of the left foot. The right heel should lead the right foot through the down swing.

  2. Step 2

As the back swing progresses, the left knee will bread in and down towards the flexed but posted right knee or for some people, in and forward towards the ball.

  3. Step 3

On the down swing the right knee kicks in toward the posting left knee. The knees are working towards each other throughout the swing.
