How to Work from Home for Westat
Westat is a research firm. Westat hires at home data collectors to make outbound calls and conduct interviews using scripts. Both business and individuals are called depending on the campaign you are working. After being hired as an at home data collector for Westat, you are offered a project. You can accept or decline various projects. You are assigned a mentor that assists you when necessary. If you enjoy phone work and feel comfortable making outbound calls, without sales, Westat may be the job for you.

Westat Requirements:
You must have high speed internet, a landline and a headset. You will need good interpersonal and phone skills. You must have a quiet place to work, free from background noise. -

Westat Employment and Pay Rate:
Interviewers, or data collectors, are paid a beginning rate of $8.25 per hour. Bilingual interviewers begin at a rate of $10.25. There is an additional shift differential bonus of $2.00 for hours worked between 9:00 P.M. to midnight and on weekends. Interviewers are employees of Westat and are paid for training. Training is done from your home computer. -

Scheduling Westat Hours:
Westat requests that you submit your hours of availability to them. You must be available a minimum of 15 hours per week. Westat will assign hours based on the hours you are available. Hours are not guaranteed and the position is part-time (up to 40 hours per week) and temporary. There will be weeks that no hours are available.
