1. Your eBay User ID is like your signature so you will want to make sure that the eBay User ID that you choose is an eBay ID that is unique, recognizable, and easy to remember.

2. Your eBay User ID should brand your primary product to help you increase sales. Lets say you mainly sell DVD's, so you would want to choose a name that contains the words DVD like DollarDVD as an good example. A bad example would be DVD20090117 because having those numbers on the end are meaningless and hard to remember.

3. It is very important that your eBay User ID is reader friendly and unique. Something easy to remember like: TheDVDKing is good. But if there is already a TheDVDKing you would not want to have TheDVDKing07 because it would look like you are trying to copy their idea.

4. Lets say you sell a wide variety of products and you dont really have any single item that would be a good choice to use in choosing your id. You could use your real name and add a keywords like "bargains" for example SallysBargains. Or you could choose a name that reflects your personality like HappyCamper or SmilesAllDayLong.
