How to Remove Felt Tip Marker from Fabric

Felt tip markers have become a popular substitute for crayons. Kids love them, yet unfortunately the markers sometimes end up leaving marks where you don't want them, such as on clothing. When felt tip marker stains your fabric it doesn't mean you have to throw the item away. There is hope. Try the following steps to remove felt tip marker stains from your clothing.

Things You'll Need

• Paper Towel
• Rubbing Alcohol
• Cotton Balls

Instructions

1. Lay the stain side of the fabric on a paper towel. What you will be doing is moving the stain from the fabric onto the paper towel.

2. Dab rubbing alcohol on the fabric, all around the stain. You are working on the opposite side of the fabric as the stain.

3. Dab rubbing over the stain, wetting it, and transferring it to the paper towel below stain and fabric. Change the paper towel frequently.

4. Continue until all the stain has moved from the fabric to paper towel. Rinse when you are finished and then launder.
