Avoid Expensive Coffee Shops

A lot of people enjoy a good cup of coffee, but in today’s economy, it may be harder to afford going to a coffee shop. If you consider spending $3.00 a day, 5 days a week every month for a year, you are spending $720 a year on coffee. I don’t know about you, but I have better uses for that money than spending it on coffee. So how do you go about getting coffee without spending those awful prices?

anything else you want to put in your coffee

Step 1

First of all, start making it at home. It costs a lot less when you make your coffee at home. If you are going to want it while you are at work, take a thermos of coffee with you.
Step 2

If gourmet coffees are your passion, learn to make some of them at home. The web is full of recipes that are easy to follow and tasty. I will include some of the sites down below in the resources.
Step 3

At stores now days, you can buy all types of flavored coffees, syrups to add to it and flavored creamers to add. The sky’s the limit on the combinations you could create. Be careful not to over spend in this area though, since you are trying to save money.

Tips & Warnings

Use typical money saving grocery techniques to save even more when buying your coffee and coffee supplies at the store.
Remember that just because a recipe says to use a certain brand, does not mean you have to use that brand if you can find it less expensive in another brand.
