How to Decorate a Movie Star Theme Bedroom

For the young starlet at heart, there are many ways to create the perfect bedroom. Consider a movie theater scene where all of her favorite stars can each have there own star. You never know, she could be selling tickets for entrance if you get it just right.

1. 

   Start with the walls of the room, or better yet the outer wall and door. You should design this area to resemble a ticket booth. Hire a professional artist to create a 3-D effect with paint on the outer door.

   Once you are inside, you will have a few options, but bright colors are often best. Think of what it looks like in a movie theater lobby. You can use posters to decorate the walls. Either make the frames by hand using Christmas lights or better yet you can buy lighted frames online specifically for posters. Make these frames easily accessible, so the posters can be changed with the newest trends in the movie industry.

3. 

   Any up and coming movie star should have nothing but the best. Consider silk or satin bedding set with plenty of throw pillows. You should color coordinate with the wall color by using a slightly lighter color. For example if the walls are dark purple, you might want a lavender for the bedding. You may want to have a reversible comforter with two colors to add something extra. A bed canopy can also be a great touch. Do not use the cloth kind, but use a netted version that is see through.

   Any movie star is going to require a state-of-the-art entertainment center. You can choose to use an enclosed cabinet or a stylish entertainment center. A surround sound system is a must. Choose a wireless so as to save the hassle of running wires.

   Next, you will want a makeup table for your young actress to get all dolled up. Find one that has the full make up lights, just like in a real dressing room. You will also want a complete wardrobe set. This can be part of the closet or a stand alone piece that includes shoe and jewelry space.

   You might consider decorations like crystal awards or golden Emmys. Most trophy stores can have these made with your daughter's name engraved. You will also want to have a full line of fancy clothes, like formal dresses and heels. Jewelry is also an item that is not to be overlooked, and you may want wigs so your daughter can be ready for any starring role.

   You will definitely need a red carpet for your star to walk down. You can also set up a full media center so she can start creating her own movies. With a state of the art camera and pc system, she will have a professional movie made in no time. Of course, she will also need props to set up scenes. You might consider fold away backgrounds for easy storage. She can be on set in Paris or New York City within minutes. Consider making one corner of the room a studio where her and her friends can shoot anytime they want.
