Things You'll Need
- Computer with internet connection
Research rebates on the internet. Then expand your research into the heating cooling rebates by calling your local electric provider or going online. See if they have rebates available for specific models that heat and cool your home and what the requirements may be to qualify for the rebate.
Check online for Federal tax credits. Be sure the system you plan to install meets the specified energy rating exactly. If you do not meet the federal guidelines, they will not give you the tax credit.
Many heating cooling units may come with a factory rebate after purchase or installation. Check with the company you are considering installing your heat cool unit.
Ask the dealer themselves if they offer a dealer rebate on older in stock models. Also check with your heating cooling contractor. Find out which units qualify for a rebate.
