The Apple Cider Vinegar Diet is a popular diet. Apple cider vinegar is made by fermenting fresh apples by adding sugars and bacteria. The diet using vinegar for to lose weight came about as the result of Dr. Jarvis in Vermont writing a book in the 1950's. He stated that regular consumption of apple cider vinegar would cause the body to burn fat. The theory spread from there and lead to the diet now know as the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet. It is a simple diet and the steps are outlined below.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Consume one to three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar about fifteen minutes before each meal. The taste may take some getting used to. Many people begin with one teaspoon and work their way up to three teaspoons with each meal. After a few days you should get used to the taste of vinegar for to lose weight.

  2. Step 2

There are now apple cider pills on the market that are supposed to be equivalent to liquid vinegar. If you cannot stand the taste of the vinegar for to lose weight you might want to try them. It is a good idea to check online for recommendations from other users.

  3. Step 3

The Apple Cider Vinegar Diet does not have a specific meal plan. It recommends you eat sensibly with moderate portions while eliminating snacks. You should also emphasize protein and vegetables in your diet while using vinegar for to lose weight.

Tips & Warnings
  • The acid in the apple cider vinegar may cause heat burn in some people.
  • Always consult a physician before beginning any weight loss plan.

on 12/20/2008 I've heard of this, but never really tried it long enough to lose weight. I used it when I had a sinus infection, though, because it cuts sinus congestion almost immediately. It's supposed to have a lot of health benefits.
