You don't have to join a fancy and expensive weight loss program to lose weight. In fact, you can lose weight without even dieting. The key to losing weight without dieting is eating the foods you like, but just eating less of it. This way you can stick with it and not feel deprived. So throw out any foods that you don’t like - you know, that stuff you bought because you thought that’s what you “should be” eating. If you don’t like it, get rid of it. If you're always eating things that you don't like, you'll never feel satisfied, which will lead to binge eating.

Eat SlowThe best method to eating less is eating very slowly. Obviously if you're eating less, then you're consuming less calories -- which means you'll lose weight. Most people overeat because they have lost touch with knowing when their bodies are full, and instead just keep eating until their plates are clean, or they can no longer move. So eat very slowly so that you become conscious of when your body is satisfied - not "stuffed". When you feel satisfied, stop eating. This may take some practice, but eventually you'll start seeing that you're leaving more and more food on the plate.

Another way to lose weight without dieting is to never let yourself get too hungry. Most people overeat because they let themselves get so hungry that they become incapable of controlling how much they eat. So to prevent overeating, you need to eat more often throughout the day. You shouldn’t go more than 3 hours without eating something. Also, "re-fueling" your body every 2-3 hours increases your metabolism which will help you lose weight faster.

Losing weight without dieting does include exercise. Changing your eating habits will only take you so far. Many people give up on exercise because they think they have to work out for an hour or longer every day. But actually, if you do your cardio the correct way, you only have to do it for 20 minutes every other day, and do strength training between your cardio sessions.

For example, you could do cardio Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays; and strength training Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Lift WeightsOne way to help you lose weight faster without dieting is to add strength training to your workout. Strength training increases your muscle mass which enables your body to burn more calories. Strength training should take about 30 minutes.

UPPER BODY: Using dumbbells, you’ll do three sets of repetitions, increasing the weight with each set. For example, do 20 bicep curls with 5 pound weights, then 15 reps with 8 pound weights, and finally 10 reps with 12 pound weights. You’ll need to adjust the weights depending upon your level of fitness.

LOWER BODY: You don’t need any weights to work your lower body. This can be done with squats, lunges, and crunches to work your legs, buttocks and abs.

Do CardioCardio is the most important part of losing weight without dieting. Cardio is essential because it burns the stored fat in your body. Choose a type of cardio that fits best for your level of fitness. This can be running, walking or using an elliptical. But whatever cardio workout you choose to do, it only has to be for 20 minutes if you do it in “intervals”.

For example, if you’re walking on a treadmill, take a couple of minutes to warm up, then increase your walking to a moderate level. Walk at a moderate level for about 2 minutes, then increase it to something slightly difficult and hold it as long as you can. This may be for 1 minute, or maybe only 10 seconds. Then you’ll just keep alternating this – moderate for a couple minutes, then something slightly difficult for a minute or so. Do this for 20 minutes.

on 6/15/2009 exercise is about making you feel good and improving the quality of life. I still believe that exercise is not that useful is loosing weight. There is no minimum daily requirement for refined sugar so cutting out soda is the key. That and drink more water.
