Side-swept bangs are one of the most flattering types of fringes for almost every face shape if cut correctly. However, after you get your bangs cut for the first time, they usually grow back fairly quickly. In order to skip a visit to the salon every three months, you can now trim them yourself in the comfort of your own home. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Water
  • Spray bottle
  • Sharp hair scissors

Instructions

    • 1

      Put water into your spray bottle and spritz your bangs so that they are wet.

    • 2

      Pull your bangs in front and clip the rest of your hair back to avoid trimming pieces that otherwise wouldn't be trimmed.

    • 3

      Pull out a 1-inch section of your bangs, using your hands. Slide one hand down the bangs until it is resting on the ends.

    • 4

      Twist this particular section of your hair twice and trim your bangs right below your eyes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Leave about 1/2 inch of hair longer than you want it to be, because as your hair dries, it shortens.
