How to Wear Artificial Eyelashes

Artificial eyelashes are commonly worn for weddings, theatrical events, holidays, and romantic occasions to enhance the eye and make a dramatic fashion statement. Fake eyelashes can be applied in single clumps or as full-set applications for a more striking look.

• Artificial eyelashes
• Tweezers
• Eyelash glue
• Mascara

Instructions

1. 

   Buy artificial eyelashes. They can be purchased at many beauty stores (such as Sephora and Mac). Decide on the color, length, set (full or partial), and price range that is right for you. A best bet is a black, full-set and medium in length.

2. Clean your face thoroughly and have all items for artificial eyelash application nearby. You should be in front of a mirror in a well-lit space.

3. Examine the lashes. Trim as necessary. Artificial eyelashes should extend to just beyond the outer corner of the eye and be varied in length. They should complement your natural eyelashes.

4. Use eyeliner. Liquid is generally better. Draw a thin line on your eyelid as close to the lash line as possible. This will help create a natural, unified look once artificial eyelashes are applied.

5. 

   Apply a small amount of eyelash glue along the base of the artificial eyelashes. Wait at least thirty seconds to give the glue a chance to solidify a bit and prevent running into your eye.

6. Use tweezers to grasp the artificial eyelashes. Close your eyes. Apply them. Press the artificial eyelashes on your eyelids. Place them just above your natural eyelash lines. They should be placed as close to the edge as possible. Press firmly and gently across the false eyelash set, ensuring that they are securely positioned for at least thirty seconds to give the eyelash glue time to dry. For individual artificial eyelash clumps, apply to the outer corners of the eye and work inward. Repeat the process on the other eye for symmetry.

7. Use eyelash curlers to initiate bonding between the artificial eyelashes and your natural ones. Be gentle in this process. Once done to both eyes, apply a coat of mascara while pressing your finger behind the artificial eyelashes. Once this is complete, examine both eyes to ensure that the false eyelashes are secure.

8. Step back and take a look. Are the eyelashes secure? Do they look natural? Touch up any areas with eyeliner and mascara as needed. Once mastered, using artificial eyelashes can give a woman instant glamor and confidence. Follow all safety guidelines for eyelash removal.
