Things You'll Need:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 cups of instant orange drink (Tang)
- 1/2 cup sweetened ice tea mix
- 1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid lemonade mix
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
- pretty jars, tea cups, decorated bags, ribbons and lace

Step 1
Mix all of the dry ingredients well and store in a sealed container or large zipper bag. If the tea mix is not fine enough you can run it through a food processor to make it as fine as you want it.

Line up the items that you will be giving the tea mix in. Even if you are going to be giving the mix with a tea cup it still needs to be in a plastic bag of some sort.

Step 3
Measure out about 1/2-1 cup of tea mix into cellophane Christmas treat bags or decorated zipper baggies. Place your plastic bag inside of a tea cup, jar, or gift bag.

Step 4
Decorate the container with ribbons, lace and other notions. Attach a tag with the directions to add 8 ounces of boiling water to a mug and stir in 2-3 teaspoons of Russian Friendship Tea Mix. You can print the directions out on card stock with a friendship tea poem, punch a hole in one corner and tie this to the tea cup or jar.

on 12/21/2008 This is a very creative idea! Is this a Russian tradition every Christmas (giving friendship tea Christmas gifts)? I'm married to a Russian & I'm wondering if I can use this gift idea to his relatives for Christmas.
