Step 1
Buffets. Restaurants with buffets like Golden Corral and Ryans usually offer free meals for kids under 3 when an adult meal is purchased. There are plenty of options on a buffet such as mashed potatoes, applesauce, pudding, and other soft foods for babies and small children. Buffets also offer a wider variety of foods, and more healthy options than fast food resturants.
-
Step 2
Sign up for birthday clubs. Restaurants like Denny’s, Bob Evans, The Hungry Fisherman, Boston Market, Perkins, and many more offer a free meal on your birthday. Some require advanced registration so that you can be mailed a coupon. Other just require you to bring in a copy of the child’s birth certificate. Find a huge list of places to eat free on your birthday at http://www.heyitsfree.net/2006/10/03/eat-free-on-your-birthday.
-
Step 3
Printable coupons. Subscribe to sites like Cool Saving and Coupons.com (they are free). You’ll receive emails with links to printable coupons.
-
Step 4
Websites. Visit www.familyfriendlyamerica.com/kidseatfree, www.allkidseatfree.com, and www.KidsMealDeals.com, for a huge lists of restaurants where kids eat free.
-
Step 5
Local specials. Listen to local radio, watch the paper, and watch restaurant signs for local specials. Sometimes you will see an ad like, “Kids Eat Free When You Wear Your Sports Jersey, Kids Eat Free on Mother's Day, Kids Eat Free Between 4-6 on Tuesday,” and similar ads. Pay attention to what is going on in your own community.

on 2/3/2009 This is excellent advice for anyone eating out with children. It's so wasteful to buy them a regular meal when they can't eat it all.
