Make a Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Making your own sugar scrubs at home can be fun and economical.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • brown sugar
  • raw sugar
  • sea salt
  • vanilla extract
  • glass jar with lid for storage
  1. Step 1

The ingredients for this body scrub are as follows:
    1 cup of sea salt
    1/2 cup dark brown sugar
    1/2 cup raw sugar
1/8 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

  2. Step 2

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Store in a glass mason jar or any glass jar with a secure tight lid. Apply 2 to 3 tablespoons onto a loofah mitt and massage gently all over your body. Rinse and wash skin with a gentile cleanser afterwards. Your skin will feel like velvet.

  3. Step 3

Other variations on this recipe could be adding peppermint essential oil 2 drops or lavender essential oil 1 drop. I have also tried lemon essential oil 1 drop combined with 1 drop of spearmint essential oil. This REALLY a STRESS buster. Peppermint is also great for stress.

  4. Step 4

Sugar scrubs are a wonderful way to detox your skin and exfoliate dead skin cells. ENJOY!

Tips & Warnings
  • Use what ever essential oils are pleasing to you! Always stick to about 1 drop of ay essential oils as they are very strong.
  • The body scrubs make wonderful gifts! Put a ribbon on and label with the ingredients. Your friends will love it!
  • Gently massage into skin. Too much friction could be irritating to skin.
