If done correctly, a slogan can create an association with customers that makes them think of your business prior to your competition. In this article, I'll give you tips to consider when creating a slogan.

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You'll Need:

  • The desire to create a slogan for your business.
  1. Step 1

First, your slogan needs to be fairly simple. This is so you can apply it to various kinds of advertising--business cards, radio, the web, etc.

  2. Step 2

If possible, your slogan needs to include some sort of benefit about your product or service. A great examples is M&M's "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand." At the time of the original slogan, chocolate candy would easily melt during the summer--the candy shell prevented this.

  3. Step 3

As a fun marketing campaign and to get more feedback and ideas, get your existing customer involved. You can offer some sort incentive for the best slogan submitted, create a vote between various slogans on your website, and various other projects that both help you and give you feedback--this will also help make sure your slogan is taken well as opposed to being a flop.
