How to Find Your IP Address
Your IP address is the dynamic address that is assigned to your pc, labtop or printer. If your troubleshooting something on your home network its good to know how to find this address.

In order to find your IP address, open up a command prompt by Clicking START-->ALL PROGRAMS-->ACCESSORIES-->AND THEN CLICK COMMAND PROMPT. If you want to go the faster route you can push the windows hot key + R. This should bring up the command prompt.

From the command prompt type in ipconfig /all then hit enter. This will give you the network card configurations. Things such as your computer name, ip address will be found there. Your ip address is usually 4 sets of numbers and example would be 192.58.32.10

If you can't see your computer name use the scroll bar to your right and scroll up to see your network cards complete information. This number will come in handy when you are troubleshooting communications issues with a home router or you are unable to connect to the internet.
