How to Spin a Frisbee on Your Fingernail
The Frisbee nail delay, or spinning the disc on your fingernail, is a core component of Frisbee freestyle. Learning this trick might take a couple of weeks, but it will add a new and exciting dimension to your Frisbee play.
Things You'll Need
- Frisbee with smooth underside, no scratches
- Silicon spray
- Room to practice
Instructions
-

1
Clean the underside of your Frisbee by putting a small amount of silicon spray on the underside to reduce friction. Use a cloth to spread it around if the spray doesn't go on evenly.
-
2
Put the fingertips of each hand on opposite sides of the Frisbee. Rotate the disc as far counterclockwise as you can go, then quickly spin the disc clockwise while raising your hands up into the air and release the disc.

-
3
Hold up your middle finger and press your thumb below the tip of the middle finger for support.
-
4
Quickly bring your finger up to the disc. Raise your hand to the level of the dropping disc, then drop it with the disc until disc and fingernail make contact. In this way the disc doesn't bounce off the fingernail when it first makes contact. Aim for the center of the disc.
-
5
Adjust your finger as the disc slows to keep it in the center of the disc, making small circular motions in the same direction as the spin of the disc.

Maybe I'll be successful with these tips! I was never any good at spinning a frisbee or a basketball!
