Step 1
Sign up for a WaMu account (see Resources below).You cannot apply for a WaMu credit card unless you are a registered user on their website. You will need to choose if you wish to apply for a personal or business account. You will then need to enter your name and email address. Select your account type. If you do not have an account with WaMu, you should click the option that says, "I do not have an account." You will receive and offer with a code.

Enter your offer code. Once you have entered your code, you will be asked to fill out an application. Enter your name, address, and telephone number. Enter your employment information and use your paystubs or last tax return to determine your annual income. You will also need to enter your drivers license number and social security number. You will also have the option to choose your card color and style. Click "Submit."

Confirm your information. Once you are sure it is correct, click "Sumbit" once more. You will be given an instant answer of "yes," or told that the company needs more time to evaluate your application. If the latter is the case, you will receive an answer in the mail or by email.

Step 4
Activate your card. Your new WaMu card will arrive in 10 to 14 business days. Once you receive your card, activate it by calling the telephone number located on the front of the card. You must do this from your home telephone for it to work properly. The telephone number is also located on the back of the card in small print. You are now ready to use your card.
