How to Check Share Prices

Most investing is now done over the Internet instead of through phone calls or stock exchanges. The price of stock shares changes throughout the trading day, and the easiest way to stay up to date is by checking quotes online.

Instructions

1. Go to Google Finance (see Resources below), type in a company name or stock symbol into the top search field and then click the "Get quotes" button to view the latest share prices.

2. Go to Yahoo! Finance (see Resources below), enter a company name or stock symbol into the main search field and then click the "Get Quotes" button to find up-to-date prices.

3. Go to Quote.com (see Resources below), type in a stock symbol into the main search field, select "Get Quote" from the drop-down menu and then click the "Go" button to view real-time share prices.

4. Go to AOL Money (see Resources below), enter a company name into the main search box and then click the "Search" button to find share prices.

5. Go to the New York Stock Exchange site (see Resources below) and enter a stock symbol in the "Get Quote" field to view the latest share prices.
