Things You'll Need:
- Sport's cards Glue Glitter glue Yarn Hole puncher Construction paper
-
Step 1
Take some of your favorite team's trading cards and pair them off into piles of two. If you do not want ruin any of the cards in your own collection, you can simply by a team set of cards for less than $10 at many retail stores.
-
Step 2
Dab a small amount of glue on the back of one card and press it against the back of another so that the cards are evenly matched up. Hold the cards together for 10 seconds so that they do not become loose. Set the cards aside and repeat this process for the rest of the pairs.
-
Step 3
Use a hole puncher to create a small hole at the top of every set of cards. This should be placed high up so that none of the picture is blocked out on the card. Discard the punched out holes.
-
Step 4
Outline the outsides of the all the cards with red, green, gold, or silver glitter glue to give them more of a Christmas appeal. This will make the ornaments more flashy and noticeable on the Christmas Tree.
-
Step 5
Weave bright colored yarn through the punched out hole on the ornaments and tie it off so there is a large loop remaining on the end. Hand the ornaments all over the Christmas Tree.
-
Step 1
Take a round ornament and turn it into a popular sports ball by using multiple colored sharpies or 3-D glue. Another great sports ball idea is by cutting two small slits into a tennis ball, weaving some yarn through and hanging it off of the tree.
-
Step 2
Purchase mini-replica helmets from your favorite sport's team and place them on existing ornaments around the tree to add a sports theme.
-
Step 3
Use construction paper and a cardboard backing to recreate the logo of your favorite team, along with a set of numbers for your favorite players.
