How to obtain a personal property tax receipt
If you paid your personal property tax for the previous year and have misplaced the slip you can obtain a new one easily.

You will need to know which county you live in. You can only obtain a copy of the receipt from the county courthouse where you lived when you paid the tax.

Go to the correct county courthouse and find the office for tax receipts. There is usually a directory at the entrance of most courthouses if you need help finding the correct room. There is usually a security guard at the entrance of most courthouses also and they can point you in the direction of the right room.

Present your i.d. to the clerk and they will print a copy of your tax receipt. Some counties have a small fee for printing duplicate tax receipts. Have cash or a checkbook with you as most courthouses do not take debit cards.
