1
Purchase dishwashing soap and Mother's Chrome Polish or equivalent. Any dishwashing soap that offers grease deterrent will assist in cleaning your chrome wheels. Mother's Chrome Polish is available in many local hardware stores, including Ace Hardware or from online retailers. You can use other chrome polish products if you choose.

2
Fill the bucket with hot water. The water should be hot enough to steam but not to scald your skin. Depending on the size of the bucket, you may choose to fill it from the tub.

3
Squirt a dime size amount of dishwashing soap on one of the washcloths. Rub the washcloth on to the chrome wheel. You will want to have a soap film around the entire wheel and rim. Rinse off the washcloth in the bucket of water. Once the soap is off the cloth, rub the wheel again to remove the soap, dirt and grime. You will need to rinse off the cloth twice or three times. This will allow you to clean the wheel completely.

4
Dry the chrome wheel with the soft towel. Before you apply the polish, it should be completely dry.
-
5
Use your other clean, dry washcloth to polish the chrome wheel. Squeeze a quarter size amount of Mother's Chrome Polish or equivalent on to the cloth. Begin at the top of the wheel and work your way to the bottom. Use a circular motion to rub the polish in. Once you have completed polishing, remove any extra polish that may have dripped or is located on the side of the wheel.

Repeat Steps 3 to 5 on the remaining chrome wheels.
