Step 1
Braid in synthetic hair. You must be careful of the quality of hair that you use. You can braid this hair in small micro-braids, big braids or straight braids, or twist the braids to make patterns. One consideration in braiding is how delicate your scalp is. Make sure the braid stays in, but don't make it too tight, tearing your real hair. It is also good to lightly oil your scalp.

Step 2
Weave in cornrows, picking up hair from a row to make the braid. Use your own hair or synthetic hair for this hairstyle, but if you have less than 5 cm of real hair, you should put in extensions first.

Apply interlocking weaves, another form of braiding that is very popular. The interlocking weave gives you some flexibility. With a full-head weave, you also have cornrows on the bottom. Your braids can go in any pattern you want, or you can just leave them straight. You also have the choice of how much you want braided, half or all of it.

Step 4
Wear curly weaves. To get the best curly weave, let a professional hair stylist sew them on or bond in the weave (See Resources).

Step 5
Apply instant or quick weaves. If you do not have the time to go to the salon, you can use bonding glue to apply quick weaves, but they may not look the greatest. You may be better off just using a wig.
