How to Block Pop-up Windows in Firefox

Many users choose the Firefox Web browser because of its security features. It's free to download and can run on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Blocking pop-up windows is a good idea, since you can be inundated with inappropriate images and unwanted ads. Loading pop-up windows can also slow down your computer. Blocking pop-up windows in Firefox is easy.

Instructions

1. 

   Select "Tools" and "Options" from the toolbar.

2. 

   Click on the "Content" tab.

3. 

   Mark the box that says "Block pop-up windows." A check mark will appear to show this option has been enabled.

4. Hit the "OK" tab at the bottom to close the Options window. Now you don't need to worry about ads and images popping up unless you authorize them.
