Things You'll Need:
- Gumdrop pumpkins Toothpicks Styrofoam wreath Craft glue Orange ribbon Iridescent or clear spray paint Scissors
-
Step 1
Break all of the toothpicks in half. You can use scissors to cut them if you wish. Make sure that they are as near to exactly in half as possible, but do not worry about the ends being smooth.
-
Step 2
Stick a toothpick half in the bottom of each gumdrop pumpkin. The toothpick should extend out of the pumpkin about a half of an inch to an inch, depending on the length. Do not wiggle the toothpick around in the pumpkin, or you will make the hole too big and the pumpkin may fall off the wreath later.
-
Step 3
Stick the pumpkins into the styrofoam wreath. The toothpick should penetrate the styrofoam, and the pumpkin's base should sit flush against the wreath. Place them as close together as possible so that no styrofoam shows through. Do not wiggle them around in the styrofoam, or they will not stay in place. For extra security, put a small drop of glue on the bottom of the pumpkin before poking the toothpick into the wreath. Continue placing pumpkins on the wreath until the entire front of the wreath is covered. Do not cover the back of the wreath, or the sugar may ruin your wall.
-
Step 4
Spray the entire wreath with the clear spray paint. This will preserve the gumdrops so that you can enjoy your wreath for many years. It will also keep the bugs away.
-
Step 5
Tie on the orange ribbon. Make a large, fluffy bow with long, notched tails. Now, you are ready to hang your sweet seasonal treat on the wall for all to admire.
