How to Make Your Own Tick and Flea Pet Friendly Remedy.

Pet friendly remedies you can do yourself. Just a few simple steps, you will have a Tick and Flea spray for your pets. You can spray it on your furniture and around your home. Gets rid of fleas and ticks naturally and it smells good too! Eco-friendly, pet friendly and people friendly.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Spray bottle from Walmart, or any store such as Walgreens, CVS, dollar store.
  • Spring water
  • distilled alcohol you buy at the market.
  • two pure essential oils; Tea Tree oil and Lavender.
  1. Step 1

    Tea Tree oil is an excellent oils to get rid of fungi, viruses, skin problems, and bacteria. it is excellent with Lavender oil. Lavender oil will give a wonderful floral scent smell to your spray. It is safe to use, a universal oil for viruses, infections, inflammations, irritations of the skin, and relieves discomforts to the skin in animals and people. Tea Tree oil and Lavender will get rid of ticks and fleas, kill bacteria and fungi, and heal the skin.

  2. Step 2

    In a 4 or 8 oz. sprayer add 3/4 of spring water
    1/4 of distilled alcohol
    4 drops of tea tree oil
    12 drops of Lavender oil.
    Blend well. Shake it up and spray it on your dog or cats coat every so often. Can be up to three or four times a day and refill as needed.

  3. Step 3

    You can also add more lavender as needed. Tea tree oils is strong so you don't have to add as much tea tree oil to get results.

Tips & Warnings
  • Spray two times over your dog or cats coat. Don't get it in the eyes or near the face. You can brush the coat afterwards, so it has an even cover throughout the coat. Your pet will get instant relief and you won't have to worry about scratching or irritation. Bathing the pets often, brushing the coat, and feeding your pet healthy foods can help reduce fleas and ticks.
  • Make sure no contact with face when spraying. May irritate eyes, so use caution. Spray with love. Please contact me if you have any questions on essential oils.

on 9/11/2009 We have a bad flea problem. We tried another remedy of vinegar and water that didn't work. I'll try this one and hope it works. Right now we are using Frontline plus and Home defense. Both are chemical remedies. I would rather go with a natural alternative. I have a German Shepherd that is allergic to fleas, so I wust get this problem under control immediately. Great article! 5*
