How to Add a Drop-Down Menu Using FrontPage 2000

Many web pages contain menus that allow you to list or advertise products on your page. In addition to the standard menu, you are able to add drop-down menus on your pages. Drop-down menus are commonly used to include sub-categories of your menus. This gives the reader more options to choose from and gives your pages more flexibility.

      Access your FrontPage program. Browse and locate the web page that you are editing. Choose the form located on your page that you are adding the drop-down menu to. Click near this area. Type the text that you wish to view on your drop-down menu.

      Click on the menu bar and choose "Insert," then "Form," then "Drop-down menu." You will see the drop-down menu show in your document. Double-click on top of the drop-down menu. The "Drop-down menu" properties dialog box appears. This allows you to add items to your menu.

      Enter the name that you wish to use to identify your drop-down menu. You can enter this name inside of the "Drop-down menu" dialog box next to "name."

      Click "Add." This allows you to add items to your drop-down menu. This opens the "Add choice" dialog box. Enter the choices for your menu. Click "OK" to close the dialog box and return to the "Drop-down menu properties" dialog box. Repeat this step for each menu item that you wish to add.
