Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Buy the right ring. Nothing is more embarrassing than buying your bride to be a ring that she doesn't like or isn't the right size. Avoid this by going ring shopping with her best friend, cousin or sister. The women closest to her will know what type of ring she likes. Bring a ring that she owns that fits her well for the sizing.
-
Step 2
Propose in a public place. Nothing says "I love you" more than saying it in front of hundreds of people. Take your bride to her favorite restaurant, ice skating or basketball game and arrange with managers for the attention to be put on you. Whether it be by hiring a violin player or paying the announcer to place the spotlight on you, just make sure you have the entire audience's undivided attention.
-
Step 3
Keep it to yourself. As exciting as this may be, if you go around telling people your plans, you will eventually run into someone with a big enough mouth to tell your girlfriend. This is going to be the most memorable experience of her life, do not allow it to be ruined by gossip. Only spread the news to those who you wish to be present when you propose, such as her parents and closest friends.
-
Step 4
Hire a videographer. She will want to replay this moment again and again, give her the ability to do that by hiring a videographer to tape the entire experience.
-
Step 5
Get down on your knee. Traditional is the way to go when proposing. Do not ruin the moment she has always dreamed of by pulling a "cool guy move" and just sticking the ring in her champagne. If you want her to think of this day as the happiest day in her life, you will get down on one knee. It may seem minimal, but getting down on one knee can make all the difference in yourproposal.
