How to Make a Bubble Man Halloween Costume

Creating a Bubble Man costume for your next Halloween party is an easy, last-minute costume idea. It requires few materials and it’s a one-size-fits-all type of garb. Be forewarned, however, wearing this costume ensures that you’ll have party-goers following your around the entire evening, trying to pop your costume.

Things You'll Need

  • Roll of bubble wrap, at least 100 feet
  • Scissors
  • Jeans
  • Clear packing tape
  • Buy a large roll of bubble wrap. You can get rolls of bubble wrap from office-supply stores. Depending on your size, you should buy at least a 100-foot roll. It’s better to overestimate how much you’ll need because you don’t want to run out when your costume is halfway constructed.

  • Cut a two-foot section of the bubble wrap and set aside. This will be your cape.

  • Wrap your left leg from ankle to the top of your thigh in bubble wrap. Cover the leg at least three times. Secure the bubble wrap with clear packing tape.

  • Wrap your right leg the same way and secure the bubble wrap with clear packing tape.

  • Wrap your waist, stomach and chest with bubble wrap. Secure it with clear packing tape.

  • Cut a slit in the wrap near your zipper--you’ll want to be able to unzip your pants to use the restroom. Once this costume is on, it can’t come off until the night is over without damaging it.

  • Attach the “cape” to your back with a piece of clear packing tape.

  • Wrap each arm individually in bubble wrap. Again, wrap at least three times around each arm and secure with clear packing tape.
