Things You'll Need

  • Discover the location of the jam. Carefully open the cover of the copy machine and the paper tray to see exactly where the paper is jammed.

  • Turn off the copy machine before pulling out the paper.

  • Pull the page out, the opposite way it is fed into the copier. Pull the jammed sheet out gently. If you tug too hard, the paper may rip.
