How to Change the Theme on Twitter
If you're tired of the blue sky and clouds background on your Twitter page, you can customize your profile page with a unique theme. Twitter now offers 12 different design options. You can change the text colors and use a pre-designed theme that best suits your personality.

Log in to your Twitter account. Enter your username and password onto Twitter.com and navigate to the top right corner of the screen.

Select "Settings" from the features bar. "Settings" is the fourth option to the right; click on it to go to your account management section.

Choose the "Design" tab from the "Settings" menu to see the available themes on Twitter.

Select a new theme. You can choose from several themes with tree, bird, sky and flower motifs.

Change your design colors. If you want your text to match the theme colors, select the "Change design colors" option at the bottom of the page and enter a different color code for each section. You can select colors from the HTML hex palette.

Select "Save changes." This will update your profile page instantly.

Tips & Warnings
Push "Cancel" at any time to discard changes
You can design your own theme and upload it as a background image instead of using a pre-designed theme from Twitter
You have to select "Save changes" in order to make the changes.
Theme changes cannot be reversed; you will need to create a new theme to replace an existing one.
