How to Apply for a Best Buy Credit Card

Obtaining a Best Buy credit card is quick, easy to do and can allow you to make purchases and pay back the balance either in-full or through low monthly payments. There's two ways to sign up for a Best Buy credit card: in the store or online. You can use the credit card immediately upon approval and it's good for purchases online or at any Best Buy location. Customers who have a Best Buy credit card are offered perks that are exclusive to card members including: Low monthly payments, financing plans, and no interest for 90 days on all purchases made from the store.

Instructions

1. Fill out the application online. The first portion of the application includes personal information like name, Social Security number, date of birth, and drivers license or state ID number.

2. Input residence information. The second portion requires the applicant to fill out his address, city, state, phone number and email address.

3. State financial information. The third section asks for information about the applicant's monthly income and whether or not the applicant has a savings or checking account. The bank requires this information to get some idea as to how much credit an applicant cane take on without defaulting because of a lack of income. It is also important to provide correct answers, as the application is reviewed for accuracy.

4. Submit the application. Once the application is submitted, it should just be a matter of minutes before an answer is given. Once the loan amount has been suggested, an applicant has the option to accept or reject the offer. If the offer is accepted, a temporary card number is given for immediate purchases. Within seven to 10 business days, an actual card will be sent through the mail.

5. Apply at a Best Buy location. If you are uncomfortable doing an application online, the same application is offered in the store. Go to the customer service counter and ask for a credit card application. Once the loan has been offered, the applicant will be issued a temporary card in the same fashion as an online application.
