Paper plate crafts are among the most affordable crafts to create. They also give young children the freedom they need to create something that show their personality. Place three kids together in a room and have them create this paper plate Easter basket and you will end up with three Easter baskets that look nothing alike. This is a good thing. It shows each child what the word individual really means. This paper plate Easter basket is an excellent craft to make in March or April.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Paints
  • Paintbrush
  • Ribbon
  • Glue
  • Easter grass
  • Pencil
  1. Step 1

Put one paper plate on top of a table covered by newspapers. These newspapers should protect the surface of your table from the paint.

  2. Step 2

Draw an Easter basket on your paper plate. You will only be able to fit one Easter basket on each paper plate.

  3. Step 3

Cut the Easter basket out with your scissors.

  4. Step 4

Paint your Easter basket. Most baskets are brown, but you can make a colorful basket if you want to.

  5. Step 5

Set the basket out for 1 to 2 hours so the paint can dry.

  6. Step 6

Tie a piece of ribbon in a bow and glue it to the top of the basket handle.

  7. Step 7

Glue some pieces of Easter grass coming up out of the back of the Easter basket. Wait for the glue to dry before using.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add a strip of magnet to the back of the basket so you can hang it on the refrigerator as a decoration.
  • Add pictures of candy inside the basket.
  • Use age appropriate scissors to lessen the chance of getting cut accidentally.
