Things You'll Need:
- Old CD
- Scissors
- Large wooden bead
- Hot glue gun
- Glue stick
- Doll hair or yarn
- Black or blue permanent marker
- Red permanent marker
- Tiny metallic star or sequins
- Wire cutters
- 4-inch piece of golden or brass wire that can bend easily but hold its shape
- 4-inch to 6-inch piece of gold metallic thread or embroidery floss
-
Step 1
Cut three triangular pieces of CD and two arm pieces about ¼ inch to 3/8 inch wide and about 1 inch to 1 ½ inches long. Cut the triangular pieces from the edge to just before the hole in the middle. One side will be rounded from the outer curve of the CD. You will need good strong large scissors to cut through the CD. Cut slowly too so you don’t crack the pieces as you cut them out.
-
Step 2
Glue two of the triangular pieces together at the small points with the pieces overlapping to form the wings. Then add the third piece at the point, with the curve down to form the body and dress of the angel. Glue it in place at the point on top of the other two pieces. Glue the wooden ball on top of the area where the three pieces join. This is the angel's head.
-
Step 3
Cut yarn or doll hair and glue it in place on the angel's head in whatever fashion you like. Make sure it is secure. Then with using the permanent markers draw a simple face on the angel, using the black or blue for the eyes and the red marker for the mouth.
