Oral ulcers are small infections in the mouth that typically occur after a person accidentally bites his lip, cheek or tongue. These ulcers typically take the form of small white sores, and they are usually very sensitive and painful, making it difficult to eat. Left alone, they often take as long as 1 week to heal. However, with proper care and attention, they can often be eliminated within 2 to 3 days.
