Play Blackjack Dice Game

Playing blackjack with dice is easy and fun. It can be played with or without betting. If you have dice at home, just collect three and you have what you need to play. Special blackjack dice are available for purchase in a set, but you need not spend money on special dice. Follow these simple steps to play with regular, inexpensive dice. Blackjack dice games are also great in a bar setting. You can even host a blackjack dice tournament.

Instructions

    • 1

Roll two dice and set them aside.

    • 2

Total the amount rolled with the first two dice. If the amount is close to 21, you may choose to stay.

    • 3

Stay, then pass the dice to another player. Remember your score.

    • 4

Roll the third die if the total of the first two is not close to 21.

    • 5

Continue rolling the third die as many times as you wish to make your total score as close to 21 as possible. Each roll of the third die counts toward your total score.

    • 6

Bust if you roll the third die too many times and your score exceeds 21. Play then moves to the person to your left and you are out.

    • 7

Win by rolling 21 or the highest score.

Tips & Warnings

  • If there is a tie you may do one of three things: push the pot through the next hand if you're betting, split the pot, or have each of the tied players roll to see who scores highest with one roll.
