Be A Good Day Trader
Be A Good Day Trader

Anyone can be a day trader in the stock market. But just because they call themselves a day trader does not mean they are a good one. Here are some tips to on how to become a good day trader.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Money
  1. Step 1

    Constantly watch the stock market.
If you are a day trader you will need to put in more time than people normally would when just investing in stocks. Because during the day the market can fluctuate dramatically. So you want to be watching to see what happens.

  2. Step 2

Day trade through an online site.
This will make it a lot easier than calling a stock broker and trying to buy and sell every 10 minutes. Doing it through an online website like sharebuilder is a great way to day trade. There are fees with buying and selling but if you are trading right, the amount you make will easily cover that.

  3. Step 3

    Stock options.
This is another good idea for day traders. Stock options are more high risk than just buying a stock, but if you get it right, you will be making lots of money. If you invest the same amount of money in a stock option that you would in an actual stock and it works. You could have made six figures in a day.

  4. Step 4

    Look for opportunities.
Find out what is going on in the market, don't just jump in. Look around and see who is merging, acquiring, etc. Use knowledge on things you know to make decisions. You will also want to know how to technically analyze a stock as well. There are so many different ways to read a stock, you will want to find out which suits you the best.
