Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
-
2/3 c. flour
-
1 tube refrigerated cookie dough
-
1 can chocolate frosting
-
football cookie cutter
-
1 can vanilla frosting
Step1
Preheat oven to 350. Beat flour into cookie dough until mixed; divide dough in half. On floured surface, roll out one dough piece to 1/4" thickness. Using football cookie cutter, cut out about cookies. Re-roll dough as often as needed. Place cookies on baking sheet about 2" apart. Repeat with remaining dough.
Step2
Bake cookies about 8-10 minutes, or until done. Let them cool.
Step3
Frost cookies with chocolate icing. Put some of the white icing into a sealed sandwich bag. Cut a small hole in the bottom corner. Pipe the outline around the football and the laces across the middle. Enjoy!
Makes about 20 cookies.

on 10/2/2008 Thanks! Note that I only showed 3 that look half-way ok. Lol. It works best if you make the hole in the baggie pretty small and if the icing is a little thick (put it in the fridge for a few minutes), you can have pretty good control as to how it goes on.

on 10/2/2008 Great idea for football season! These would be cute as a treat for a boy's birthday party with a sports theme too.
