How to Host a Fun Bridal Shower

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • food
  • drinks
  • paper,stationary
  • receptions hall, house, or backyard
  • a great personality
  1. Step 1

The first thing to do is find a venue for the event. It can be a hall, a hotel banquet room, a hotel room, a house, or a backyard (check the weather forecast)

  2. Step 2

Set a date and time that's convenient for all the bridesmaids and maid/matron of honor. Set up invitations and be sure to include rsvp's so you'll know how many people are coming(for the menu). Be sure everyone can participate!

  3. Step 3

Set-up a menu ... you can have catered food, you can make a light menu. If your ordering a cake be sure you order in advance ... nothing last minute. Also include drinks non-alcohol or alcohol beverages. Be sure to include something for everyone.

  4. Step 4

Find games to play at the shower. Most gifts shops have games as well as websites.

  5. Step 5

Find gifts for the games ... you can get gifts from dollar stores like candles, potpourri, etc.

  6. Step 6

The day of the shower be sure you set plenty of time to the side for decorating (this is were the members of the bridal party come in handy) Also make sure you have everything you ordered. Now Enjoy Being a Hostess!

Tips & Warnings
  • Great games to play are pins and rice-get a bowl of rice and safety pins have the guest blindfolded then they will have to dig out as many safety pins within a time limit. This is a funny game!
  • Another game suggestion is making wedding dresses out of roles of toilet tissue this is a two player game. The most creative design wins a gift. Family Feud is another great game except change the questions to something related to weddings and relationships. Also the who knows the bride best game write a list of questions about the bride (have the bride write the answers on hers) then compare them to the answers from the guests.
  • Give away gag gifts like the last person to enter the party can get a role of toilet tissue or anything funny.
  • Be sure to find out if there are guests coming who may have allergies or may be diabetic.
