Things You'll Need:
- Eyeliner
- Eye Shadow
- Concealer
- Eye Cream
- Eyelash Curler
- Mascara
-
Step 1
Target those dark circles. Make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep. Drink water throughout the day, dark circles will be more noticeable when you’re dehydrated. Use concealer underneath and in the corner of the eyes. When you apply concealer to the eye area, make sure you pat in on. Rubbing can damage the sensitive skin under your eye.
-
Step 2
Moisturize your eyes. Eye creams made for eyes soften lines and lift the upper eyelids, making your eyes appear wider.
-
Step 3
Shape your eyebrows. You can do this at home or get your brows done professionally. Thin out the brows and keep a slight arch over the brow bone to frame your eyes and make them appear more lifted. If your brows are sparse, opt for brow powder or cream to define your brow line more.
-
Step 4
Apply a light shade of eyeshadow to the base of your eyelid and sweep it over the entire lid. Use a darker shade of shadow in the crease of your lid and blend slightly. For added lift and brightening, dust a little shimmer eyeshadow on your brow bone to make your eyes look bigger.
-
Step 5
Apply a thin line of very light or white eyeliner as close to the lower lash line as you can. Use a very light hand when using white liner. Just under the white, apply a darker shade of eyeliner or apply the shadow you used on the creases of your eyelids as a liner.
-
Step 6
Line your upper eyelid with eyeliner. You can use the eyeshadow you used on the crease of your eyelids on the top lid as close to your natural lash line as you can and soften the line with a Q-tip.
-
Step 7
Dab a bit of highlighter or light eyeshadow in the corners of your eyes for instantly bigger eyes.
-
Step 8
Always use an eyelash curler and mascara to make your eyes appear more defined and wider.
-
Step 9
Use eye drops if you have a problem with dry or red eyes. Red eyes automatically make you appear tired, older and they make your eyes look smaller. If you have chronic dry eyes, your optometrist can recommend eye drops. Or you can use over the counter drops to get the redness out.
