I LOVE collages! I think it is a creative way to display pictures of an event all on one page. I make one each month of my granddaughter and hang it up at work and get many comments on it. I like being able to put the pictures how I want them instead of following a template as well as I don't want to spend any money on a program and I already have Power Point.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Power Point
  • Digital Photos
  • Photo Paper (8.5 x 11)
  • Printer
  • Imagination
  1. Step 1

Open Powerpoint and delete the text boxes that are on the page. Go to "File" "Page set up" and change your margins to width 7.6 and height 9.6. This will make the border around the photo so that it can fit in a matted 8x10 photo frame.

  2. Step 2

Open up your photo program and begin to add the photos to Power Point. I use IPhoto and just drag the photos to Powerpoint. If you are not able to do this with your photo program, then you can go to "Insert" "Picture" "File". The photos will be EXTREMELY large when you add them. Add all of them first and then we will resize them.

  3. Step 3

Click on "Edit" "Select ALL" to select all the photos that you added. Put your cursor on a corner of a photo and resize them. Make them small so that you can see all of them and if needed you can make them bigger later.

  4. Step 4

Arrange the pictures on the page as you want them. I usually put my favorite picture in the middle and then surround it with all the others.

  5. Step 5

Add a text box "Insert" "Text Box" and you can title your collage and add a date.

  6. Step 6

Go to Print Preview and see what it will look like printed. If you like it, print it out and frame it. You will have an original memory of your event.
