Here's a step-by-step guide for applying false eyelashes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

The trick to applying false eyelashes is practice and patience.
This is not something you want to try if you're in a hurry.

  2. Step 2

Gather your supplies and sit or stand in front of a well lit mirror.
First, take out the tray of individual lashes and open the tube of glue and put a small strip on a piece of tissue or paper.
Next, take your lash curler and gently curl your own lashes being careful not to crimp them.

  3. Step 3

Use a small piece of foil to put a small strip of glue on in which
to dip from. Remember the glue is going to go on white but it
will dry clear after a couple of minutes.

  4. Step 4

Now, you are ready to take your tweezers and gently lift one of the lashes from the tray. Dip the knotted end in the white glue and carefully place the lash at the "Mid Section" of your eye. Start here and work your way down to the outer corner. You only want to use about
3 to 5 lashes per eye to keep it natural and not overdone.

  5. Step 5

After you lashes have set, apply your favorite mascara in dark brown
or black to blend your false lashes with your own.
Use a tissue to blot the top of the mascara wand instead of wiping
it on the mouth of the tube. This will help prevent clumps.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can find a great selection of individual lashes at Wallgreens.
  • Duo lash glue works well and dries clear.
  • Your false lashes can be easily removed by gently pulling them off or you can use an eye make-up remover lotion.
  • Avoid using the glue made for individual lashes because you will need a remover to get your lashes off! With Duo (for strip lashes also) this won't happen.
  • Avoid using a mascara that contains alcohol denat because it will dry up your (false) lashes.
