How to Use the Office Clipboard in Microsoft Word 2003

The handiness of modern word processors saves authors hours of time that otherwise would be spent correcting errors and using a bottle of white page corrector to fix. Thankfully, the typewriter is long since antiquated and now authors can rely upon the hundreds of useful features found in word processing software applications. Of the many amenities such programs offer, the office clipboard—found in Microsoft Word 2003—allows users to easily categorize copied items and paste them with the click of a button.

Instructions

      Access the office clipboard. Scroll to “Edit” and left-click on “Office Clipboard.”

      Copy an item to the clipboard. You can copy nearly anything from a document into the office clipboard. Just scroll over what you wish to copy and then click “Edit.” Scroll to “Copy” in the submenu and that item will appear in the office clipboard.

      Paste an item from the clipboard. To paste an item from the clipboard, click on the document where you want to paste and then click on the item inside of the clipboard that you want to paste; the item will be pasted when you click on it.

      Close the office clipboard. To close the office clipboard simply click the “X” icon in the upper right corner of the clipboard.
