How to Insert Diagrams in Microsoft Word 2003

Sometimes our documents just need that added spice, a way to really make the text fly off the pages and truly demonstrate the concept we are trying to get across to the reader. This is where the diagram feature can come in really handy. Users can select from a variety of included diagrams in the Microsoft Word 2003 word processor, and can easily insert them into their documents to compliment the text.

Instructions

    • 1

Select where you want the diagram placed by clicking anywhere inside of the document.

    • 2

Access the diagram menu. Scroll to the “Insert” tab and then left-click on “Diagram.”

    • 3

Choose your diagram style. In the diagram properties box that opens, you can select from six different diagram styles to insert. Click on the desired diagram to insert it into the document.

    • 4

Size the diagram. To size the diagram, hover the mouse cursor over the corner of the diagram until a cross section arrow appears, then click and hold as you drag the diagram to the desired size.
